Located in the heart of the upper Arkansas River Valley, Buena Vista is home base to Keys to the Mountains. Located just an hour from both the South Platte and Colorado rivers, "B.V." provides easy access to some of the best trout fishing in the region. Both full-day and half-day wade trips are available in the area's hottest spots for brown, rainbow and cutthroat trout.
Our two favorite Colorado fishing trips are the Colorado River float and fly-fishing trip and the high country lake trip. The Colorado River float and fly-fishing trip covers more water than any of our trips, and we fish parts of the Colorado only accessible by boat! This full day-trip follows the Colorado River as it gently winds through the lower Gore Canyon, near Kremmling, Colorado. This is a great trip for anglers who are looking for a new fly-fishing experience.
The high country lake trip starts with a three- to four-mile hike in the Swatch Mountain Range, where 14,000-foot peaks offer a spectacular backcountry fishing experience. In addition to fishing trout, you will see wildlife and wildflowers like never before. We provide belly boats for optimum fishing on these lakes. One day not enough? We also have a multi-day trip with packhorses available. Experience all the Colorado backcountry has to offer with this one trip!

Trip Details:
- Trips include all necessary equipment and experience needed for a memorable day of fishing. Experienced fly-fishermen - bring your own equipment (of course!)
- Lunch provided on all full-day trips.
- A three- to four-mile hike is necessary on high country lake trips. Belly boats and meals included.
- State fishing license and flies not included (beginner's flies are included).
